About Carol
"Having spent many years gilding and working in the field of fine art restoration, I have returned to my other passion of painting. My paintings are influenced by the landscape around me, Irish landscapes & seascapes - imbued with the mystical that underlies the Irish and our psyche.I am a colourist and an expressionist and merge the two in my work. My work is not only influenced by living in Ireland but is hugely influenced by the time I have spent in Southern California and Mexico - I find many connections between Mexican and Ireland - a similar background with Catholic / Pagan iconographic which is found in both our cultures."
